Tatts Tiara provides Group 1 opportunity for future broodmares

June 22, 2019 | By More

The $500,000 Tatts Tiara at Eagle Farm, featuring a top quality field, is the final Group One of the season.

The race provides a rare opportunity for these fillies and mares to achieve Group One status for their future careers in the breeding barn.

The field of 18 runners is wide open so it makes a fascinating betting race.

Godolphin has three of the top chances in the race; Pohutukawa, Savatiano and Multaja.

Tatts Tiara historical form analysis

Run over a distance of 1400 metres at Eagle Farm Racecourse, the race is fairly straight-forward to dissect.

From a historical perspective, the important criteria for the Tatts Tiara are as follows.

We need to concentrate on the Dane Ripper Stakes and the Stradbroke Handicap. Horses need to have finished in the top four at their last start, drawn barrier six or inside, and if it’s trained in Sydney it adds a tick.

After analysing the field, we find that Invincibella and Spright are the top chances.

Invincibella won the Dane Ripper Stakes with a good performance. She is a safe bet because she races well over this trip and is ultra-consistent.

Our main bet is therefore No.1 Invincibella $11.00.

Postcript: Invincibella $11.00 won the Tatts Tiara. Second was Pohutukawa $5.00 and third Savatiano $4.20. The trifecta was $264.70

Spright $9 is a very honest mare who can produce a devastating finish. She backed up her Sangster Stakes win with two impressive performances in the Goodwood and Stradbroke.

She will be motoring home when the whips are cracking, so we will save on her at $9.00.

We know you like to have horses at good odds, to fill your trifectas and first fours, so look for those who meet the above criteria and are at $20.00 or more.

We can add three more horses to our multiples; Irithea $21, Eckstein $21 and Noire $18.

Three year olds do not have a good winning record in this event, but they have placed six times, with two wins. The best of the 3yo’s after our analysis is the favourite, Pohutukawa $4.80.

The Mayor’s racing tips and best bets is now online. He has pulled a $20 chance in the Tatts Tiara for his Weekend Special. This mare came home with a barnstorming run at triple-figure odds to finish 2nd beaten only 0.75L in the Kingsford-Smith Cup behind The Bostonian. She’s drawn wide but aren’t the odds attractive?. Can you guess who it is?
