Betting tips for the Tancred Stakes meeting at Rosehill
The Tancred Stakes headlines the final day of the Rosehill Autumn Carnival in Sydney.
We have some great betting tips for this exciting race, won previously by exceptional thoroughbreds such as Makybe Diva, Tie The Knot and Octagonal.
The $0.5M Vinery Stud Stakes for 3YO fillies is also a fascinating contest with the runners looking ahead to the 3YO classic races.
The $1.5M Tancred Stakes
Race 7 at Rosehill is the WFA Tancred Stakes over 2400m, the feature race on the program.
A race steeped in history, The Tancred assumes its former name after being known as The BMW from 2002-17.
Avilius is looking to back up after his maiden Group 1 win in last week’s Ranvet Stakes.
He is the only genuine Group 1 WFA horse in the race.
From a form point of view, the Australian Cup, Sky High Stakes and Ranvet Stakes, are the key leadup races.
Only two gallopers have done the Ranvet/Tancred double this century, Tuesday Joy and Manighar.
Avilius looks a solid bet but there is good value to be found elsewhere.
The suggested bet is Red Cardinal $8.00 who has hit career best form.
Best longshots in the race are Yogi $31.00 and Nettoyer $16.00.
The Vinery Stud Stakes
In Race 6 at Rosehill, the Vinery Stud Stakes 2000m, the 3YO fillies are heading towards the Australian Oaks, and maybe even the Derby!
In consideration of providing betting tips, heavy tracks are playing a big part in the form analysis. The key leadup races are the Phar Lap Stakes, the Keith Nolan Classic, and the Coolmore Classic.
Pohutukawa won the Keith Nolan decisively but Frankely Awesome will be suited to the 2000m. Scarlett Dream will also have benefitted from the race.
The value from the Keith Nolan is Frankely Awesome, at $21.00 in today’s markets.
Verry Eleegant won the Phar Lap Stakes decisively, but she had all the favours.
Aristia will have benefitted from the run from a fitness point of view and will appreciate the 2000m.
Seabrook is a Group 1 filly but faces the 2000m for the first time.
Verry Eleegant is the main bet at odds of $2.70.
Keep in mind Aristia who is good overs at $11.00.
The unknown entity is Nakeeta Jane. She is the best horse in the race but comes through the Randwick Guineas which has very small references
Nakeeta Jane could register a dominant win without surprise.
The best bet is Very Eleegant, with good value around Frankely Awesome and Aristia. Nakeeta Jane to be respected!
